Removing the old paint

The first thing is stripping the paint in a way that is doesn't damage the windows. This needs lots of patience, good lighting, small brushes and such using a chemical paint remover.

Masking up

Using anything that's thin enough to wiggle into the free space. Windows for example will lean back a bit as you push it down gently. Then for instance a plastic bag is used to cover up the lot. Also modellers masking "rubber" is used. Other materials that work fine are the plastic moldings from shirt collars or packing materials. Just look around the house and you will find all sorts of it, and in different thickness.

Finishing

After that it's straight forward to paint as if it was an empty shell. When the paint is dry take a good look before taking away all the masking as the paint can run over from body and will tear easily. The paint needs a cut to help break at the right spot, use a sergical knife (very sharp and very small, but gets blunt very fast). All it needs now is for the tyres to be refitted.
