Matchbox boxes
Matchbox box type A (1953 to 1954)
Line drawing of the model in black or black and red. Main identifying criteria is the word "Moko" in script in the black scroll below.
Matchbox box type B (1955 to 1962)
Similar to the type A box. Line drawing of the model in black or black and red. Main identifier is the word "MOKO" in capitals in the scroll. There are also different types of end-flaps with model number and additional model name.
Matchbox box type C (1961 to 1963)
Similar to the box type B with a line drawing of the model in black or black and red. The word "MOKO" is no longer on the scroll.
Matchbox box type D (1962 to 1967)
A new design with a coloured illustration of the model. The end flaps have the number and name of the model. Later versions had additional drawings of working features.
Matchbox box type E (1964 to 1970)
Similar to the box type D but the coloured illustration of the model is growing bigger. The word "series" moved to below "Matchbox" and the model number moved down to the bottom border. End flaps of later versions have additional colour picture of the model.
Matchbox box type F (1968 to 1970)
The word "Matchbox" is now in a straight line together with the model number at the top. The coloured illustration of the model like is box type E. The end flaps have a yellow panel with a coloured picture of the model including number and name as well as the inscription "Matchbox" in red on top.
Matchbox box type G (1970 to 1973)
The Superfast Box has lines in the background to give the impression of speed. The top line has Matchbox in Italics followed by Superfast and the model number. The end flaps are like box type F.
